South Park

If you like to shop and eat out (or even if you don’t and want to experience all the great little gems South Park has hidden away), then this is one of the best neighborhoods in Charlotte, NC. It’s also one of the more expensive areas but worth every penny you will pay for it. There are many wonderful things about South Park, including several coffee shops, restaurants, bars, clothing boutiques, and a grocery store making it super easy to walk or ride your bike instead of having to drive around town just to run errands, etc.

The history of this neighborhood is very interesting. Back when South Park was just an open field, only a few homes/properties were located in this area, and they weren’t even permanent structures. They consisted of things like tents and temporary housing, which means the people living here had to move around a lot to find work and establish themselves in life (back in those days, it wasn’t easy, especially with no money). It wasn’t until later that more houses started popping up, and people realized you could make a pretty good living working for one of the mills within walking distance from home, etc. Today, this is one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Charlotte, NC, and all of North Carolina.

This is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Charlotte, NC. You will find people from different age groups and nationalities living here, which makes it perfect for those who like to be surrounded by various cultures and backgrounds. There’s also a very wide range of incomes so you can meet people from all kinds of financial backgrounds and those with similar or completely opposite income levels. The average age usually sits anywhere between 25-45 years old, but that doesn’t mean everyone under 25 wants to live here, nor does it mean that once you’re 45+, you can’t either because it’s all up to what kind of lifestyle you want.

This is one of the most accessible neighborhoods in Charlotte, NC. You have several main roads running through it which makes it extremely easy to travel from place to place without dealing with traffic jams etc. The bus stop is right outside, so if you don’t have a car, this would be one of the easiest places to manage without having your own means of transportation. There are also quite a few restaurants, bars, and grocery stores within walking distance, making it very convenient for those who live here.

South Park is famous for its annual festival, “Taste of South Park”, where you can get the opportunity to try food from various restaurants in the area that are usually closed to the public. This is just one of many events held throughout the year for both adults and kids alike. Another great thing about this place is that if you don’t want to cook all the time or go out, there are always people grilling outside their homes, so it’s easy to join in on a social barbecue whenever your neighbors have one.
