Cherry

Another great neighborhood in Charlotte, NC, is Cherry which is called this because it has a great cherry tree-lined road. This area was developed between 1976 and 1978 after the historic Hanes Mill Village closed down thanks to an economic crisis that swept through America.

Before Europeans colonized North Carolina, this land belonged to various Native American tribes but not for long. There are very few records of what happened back then, so it’s hard to say exactly who inhabited the land before white settlers started exploring it for themselves. Upon colonization, we know that people were forced off their land via treaties signed with the British Crown, which ended up being broken later on as white settlers decided to take over for good! As time passed, more wars erupted, and the United States of America was formed. Even though slavery had been abolished and African Americans could lead normal lives, there were still many troubles that they faced even in their new homes. There are many great historical sites throughout Charlotte, NC, where you can learn more about this part of history if it interests you.

The Cherry neighborhood is close to UNC Charlotte, making it a very popular area with students (they really like living near campus). This area has changed a lot since it was first developed in 1978, but one thing remains the same – it is an affordable yet peaceful way of life on a well-maintained street lined with beautiful cherry trees!

Cherry is a diverse neighborhood, mostly because of all the students who live here. There are also professionals such as doctors and lawyers, retired folks, and even a few families with children. It’s a great area for going out at night, especially if you love bars and clubs because it’s close to Uptown Charlotte, which means that you can drive or walk back home easily whenever you feel like going out.

Cherry is a fairly safe place with many businesses nearby, so people from all walks of life find this neighborhood attractive. This may not be the best idea if you have small children because it’s busy most of the day, but as long as you don’t mind some noise, this is one of the most affordable areas in Charlotte, NC, to buy property in.

Cherry is famous for its nightlife, mostly due to the various bars that line the main road. There are also great restaurants nearby, but if you’re into music, you’ll definitely want to check out one of the annual street festivals that happen here because they’re bound to have great bands playing.
