This strip is popularly known because of all the crazy stories associated with the place. Ranging from business, nightclubs, speakeasies, restaurants, to even hotels and much more. In the 1920s, the place was calm with no story to it but as time passed, it developed gradually, first into a movie star stop, then a music production area, and eventually grew into what it is currently.

History

The crazy stories originated from the fact that the place was practically considered unincorporated. It was under no legal jurisdiction therefore a lot of criminal activities were taking place here. The area was infested with clubs, casinos, gambling, and gangster spots.

The first trading activity was initiated in 1924 and soon after that, investors saw an opportunity and started their various businesses.

Uprising

In the 1930s to 1950s, the place rapidly developed due to the repealed prohibition. There was an increase in the number of restaurants, nightclubs, drug stores, and apartments.

Take over

In 1960, movie stars had started making the place lose its popularity. This, however, was a good thing as it made the place the go-to place for musicians aiming to produce songs. The number of clubs at the place encouraged the musicians as they would play locally, gauge the reaction of the people then release their creations to the world.
This made the Strip a hotspot for musicians as the people offers support and the beautiful environs were just perfect to shoot a music video in.

With time, the place became so noisy and this led to noise complaints which led to the 10p.m curfew rule. This caused a lot of tension to the individuals and in August 1967, Pandora`s Box was destroyed.

Current state

A century after the place was opened, the place is still growing and its stories spreading. The Strip is considered a place of music and entertainment. It still hosts different musicians in its clubs making the nightlife magical. Businesses have opened all around but all to support the music industry there.
