Hollywood, as many would say, is the heart of the film industry. It’s home to major studio headquarters as well as hundreds if not thousands of production companies and support businesses. This neighborhood is booming with bars, restaurants, shops, and theaters – it has something for everyone from casual tourist attractions like Ripley’s Believe it or Not and Madame Tussaud’s to large attractions like Universal Studios and the Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood in Los Angeles is probably the best place to go if you’re looking for a good time and want to see some celebrities.

Hollywood is the symbol of entertainment and the movie business. It’s considered one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Los Angeles. Its history starts in the early years of this century when several independent film producers moved their studios there.

Hollywood has a variety of tourist attractions, bars, shops, and restaurants to visit all day long. There are lots of public transportation available for tourists to move around without the need for their own car. Hollywood has its good side but also some bad sides when it comes to crime.
Hollywood is home to the Walk of Fame – that’s why you’ll find more than 2.500 stars on the sidewalk that are dedicated to actors, directors, producers, etc. One star, in particular, is worth mentioning; it’s dedicated to Jimmy Stewart, who was known for his roles in Harvey, It’s a Wonderful Life, Rear Window, and more.

Toluca Lake is directly adjacent to Burbank, Glendale, Universal Studios, and the Hollywood Bowl. The Toluca Lake neighborhood is home to some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Many celebrities live here for its convenience but mostly because it’s very quiet considering it’s so close to all these attractions.

Hollywood Hills
One of the newest hot spots for celebrities is the Hollywood Hills, where you can find some very expensive homes. The famous hills are best known to everyone who loves film because lots of T.V. shows and movies were filmed there. The most noticeable place would be the famous HOLLYWOOD sign.

Hollywood Hills’ homes were greatly affected by this year’s heavy rainfalls. Many parts of the hills flooded where you would find yourself surrounded with water and mud instead of a road to drive on. The problem is that Hollywood Hills consist mostly of canyons which makes it difficult to evacuate when there’s a flood going on.
